$200 a year subscription?

Why not just have a camera that can record 20 hours or something? What is subscription for?

Nothing offered by Lytx, if you are talking about Fleet cameras.

I installed the FitCamX in my truck a few weeks ago.

I like it because its made to look like the trim peice around your rearview mirror.

I see there's an app for the FitCamX; is there any subscription to view what's on your SD card?

No subscription. The app is so you can view the footage. You can also view using the SD card. I will say, though, the app is kind of a pain in the arse. But you'll rarely have to use it, unless you really enjoy viewing driving footage.

Forgot to mention that the camera is made to plug into an existing port in your vehicle, so you don't have to hardwire it.

But, if you want parking mode for the camera, then it will have to be hardwired.

You mean the camera fricks up your cars built in camera parking functions?

No.

Some cameras have what they call Parking Mode, which just means when the vehicle is parked and turned off they'll start recording if they sense someone near the vehicle or if an impact is detected. Depends on the camera.

If you feel like changing your rear view mirror, Wolfbox on Amazon makes good cameras with parking recording. It's placed in front of your existing rear view mirror. Mrs. BTB (no pics) has one that I installed and it's easy to run wires in the headliner to the A/C plug in the trunk of her vehicle. Comes with GPS, speedometer, and a wider rear view mirror that can be turned on and off. I like the mirror being on at all times because it provides a bit more brightness.

I run a Garmin 47 in my semi. I like the 46 better because it recorded in 1 min loops, the 47 is only 30 seconds. But its nice.

Can you change that in the settings? My Viofo dash cam has multiple options for the length of loop recording

Not that i've ever found. I love Garmins reliability but the 30 second recordings kinda suck. 15 secs before and 15 secs after.
