No desire to be robbed, shot, ran over by a truck, smell piss and beer or have my truck broken into. Enjoy your day. Oh and the the traffic that you will spend the day in

Survey says the rest of us would prefer you with bullet holes. Do us a favor and head on down to the shithole.

You couldn’t pay me to go downtown today. Gonna be a record-setting cluster. Also all this Super Bowl shite is cheesy af.

The energy & buzz at the last two Super Bowl weekends (2013) have been incredible. I'd say go and don't miss it.

You’re in luck. Penthouse and Hustler are open for 48 hrs starting yesterday.

I found parking easily in the residential area around 8:30am yesterday.

There’s security everywhere.

Come down. Spend your money.

Went down yesterday afternoon till around 8:00 pm. With the level of security down there, it’s almost impossible for anything bad to happen to you. Army personnel everywhere. Police everywhere. Machine guns everywhere. Road blocks everywhere. Ain’t nothing bad gonna happen to you.

And… I drove from the Northshore took Tulane Ave exit drove down to LSU Medical School, parked for free, walked to Quarter. Took exactly 55 minutes from my house in Mandeville to park and walk and be at Canal and Bourbon. If you know your way around Nola, it’s easy.

Such a lame and lazy excuse.

Take Algiers Ferry.

This is the cheapest/easiest way to get downtown but gotta time it right. Yesterday it was closed early due to the fog (which is worse today) and the backup plan was a bus that dropped us at Tulane & Loyola…also when we ferried back across around 2pm, the line to take it to Canal St was backed up past the Armstrong statue on the levee which is the longest I’ve ever seen.

FWIW, they ARE running both ferries but I gotta figure that was a 1.5-2 hour wait for the folks in the back of that line waiting in the sun.

Still, NOLA has been pretty cool this weekend with a ton of happy people who all seem to be in great moods to be down there

If you could find a place to park it will be $200 for short term.

City is packed.

My parking garage sent out an email saying “starting Friday, we are charging for parking by the hour, your pass won’t work”. If I had a place to park, I’d probably go.
