It's at the lakefront airport. Which OT ballers will pay to fly in a P-51?

How much are they asking? Is this a CAF show?

I've taken airshows off my list of things to do since 27% of attendees get chopped into pieces.

admission is pretty pricey man... $20/person to walk around a view only 15 planes? Especially considering none of them are rare vintage birds just the tried and true B-17s and p-51s you see at every airshow. I love these shows but gonna skip this one

The A-26 and p-39 might be pretty cool

shite, I thought it was 2 weeks ago and I missed it.
Yeah, looks pretty interesting.
It's $20 to get in but I have no clue how much they charge for flights on the old dogs.

I'm going and flying in the B-17 Flying Fortress on Sunday at 2...I hope it doesn't rain.
I'll wave from the air.

Several years ago in Monroe they were charging $300 for a ride in a B-24 that had been converted into a transport for ranking officers.

It is through CAF as far as I can tell. I went last year and it was pretty good

Rarity of the bird makes for higher demand.

He's right. I hate to say it but if you want to die in a plane crash, go to an air show.

lolwut
The ONLY example of a B-29 Superfortress still in flying condition will be there. There is a Dauntless there that is one of maybe 5 or 6 in existence that are still airworthy.
I went last year and these planes aren't sitting there all day parked. They actually take them up and fly them around above the show. Seeing those aircraft in the sky isn't something you see everyday.

Just went to Wings Over Houston last weekend with my dad...one of the best shows I've been to, and we went every year (except while I was in college). Even got to see the B-17 that I flew on in Junior High. Got a deal, 2-for-1 for a $300 donation. Flew around Galveston area for over an hour and got to move all over the plane while in the air. Really awesome experience.

It's amazing how small those B-17s are on the inside.

My dad flew a Marine version of the B-24 during WWII (photographing Japanese held island) but in the last month of the war flew the VIP B-24. He got to transport a lot of VIPS, including Nimitz.

Bump.
Brought a bus full of students to the show today. It was really cool if you're into WWII aviation and they had one of the last remaining Tuskegee Airmen there to talk to everyone. Dude was something like 95 years old, mentally sharp as hell, and flew 409 combat missions in his lifetime.

Was at the top of Benson Tower yesterday afternoon as the B-29 flew by downtown. I actually thought I was hallucinating for a second.
