At first, I thought the tread title said "Memphis Belle." Totally disappointed now. Downvoted due to the lack of B-17's.

Lol at grown men going to music festivals. I can’t think of a worse way to spend a day off.

I guess one benefit to being married is that one doesn’t have to go to crap like that just to get laid anymore.

Couldn’t agree more brotha. Don’t mind concerts, but a huge music fest with people everywhere of which 90% are high or coked out, no thanks

Sounds like some of y’all are real buzzkills. Do you complain if the music is too loud, too?

I’m skipping the Beale and I’m going to the one outside Nashville later this year plus the rock/metal fest in Louisville. That lineup is sick.

My wife said this morning she wanted to go see Dave Matthews, but I doubt we get a babysitter on late notice

I can see it from my office. Looks like it’ll be a fun weekend.

It's been a blast every time I've gone, but it's lost some of it's charm to me over the last few years by not booking as many (as in any) classic acts like they used to. It used to be just a taste. One or two a day.

I understand it has to be geared to young people, but it was always cool to see a living legend like Jerry Lee Lewis or Little Richard, but they've quit bringing in active people who could fill the void: Eric Burdon, Tommy James, Don McLean, etc.

That said, if all you did was hang out at the Blues Tent you'll have a GREAT time. Never disappointed.

I went every year from 2003-12, beginning my freshman year in HS.

I've only gone twice since. Wasn't real impressed with the lineup, plus my sister graduates from UofM tomorrow, so I'll be downtown at the Forum then drinking later.
