Anyone know anything on it? Good? Bad?

I know DSLD is a builder in there so we can save the bitching on them. There’s others in there as well.

Too close to the river. Shitty contractors. Lots of people gonna make lifetime mistakes.

They want to build the Mississippi River bridge through there. Decide what you will based on that.

That close? Is there a map that shows that?

The northern routes are really close. That would bring a ton of traffic and would potentially be an interstate route one day. You’ve probably got a while until that but it could make selling harder if you’re talking a decade from now.

They went from naming suburban neighborhoods like plantations to naming them like bourbon.

Sounds like a Poor Man's UC.

Yea I get it. I honestly don’t think we will see that bridge in our lifetime though. Appreciate the map!

Back in college I remember water bubbling up from the ground into these little sand mounds in Lake Beau Pre when the river was really high one year. I’m no foundation expert but always made me think people were crazy buying homes that close to the river

Anyone considering buying a DSLD home should hire a third-party builder inspector. That small investment could save you thousands.

all of this
we’ve done projects farther away from the river than that and had to shut down and dewater our excavations. No fricking way I’d buy a house there

Reserve

Does this mean they chopped down every tree in sight before tossing up some shoddy houses?

Should be a great neighborhood if you like soggy yards, foundation problems, and have full faith and trust in the levee system.
