Perfect advice. This is all you have to do and it isn't hard.

I go there a few times a year but nothing like cave and some others in here. I'll let them give you much better advice. But it isn't as ominous and crazy as half of the nutballs in here would lead you to believe.

I'd guess that over 90% of people who are beheaded in Saudi Arabia are Arabs. I'd guess than less than 2% are Caucasian.

They actually behead a lot of people there, it's their form of capital punishment. And it's mostly Saudi citizens.

I've worked in Saudi and other countries in the middle east. Obviously the money is great. It obviously sucks but you get used to it. I would imagine your friend will be confined to a compound when he is not working, if that is the case it's not too bad, pretty comfortable. Some compounds are very lavish depending on who he will be working for. Be aware there is no alcohol on the compounds or in the country. I've had offers to go back as a resident but would never do that to my wife. As far as getting your head cut off, if you remember you are in the most conservative country in the world and act accordingly you will be fine. Get in, keep your head down, do your job, and get out.

Roughly 100 a year, it isn't really that common. But yes it is their form of capital punishment. The French used the guillotine within the last 100 years too.

It was good living there. Nice apartment walking distance from office. Western women not required to wear burkas. Yemens let us import booze for personal use. Great parties. Most restaurants allowed you bring your own liquor. Hated to give up the expat life.
