Well, what position are you in?

Yeah. It's not a garden hose. It's either impinged or it isn't.

My arm went to sleep one time because my lab was lying on it. I went to raise up on it and dislocated my shoulder.

Happens to me all the time, but it's because I slept on my arm.

Go get a Carpal Tunnel test. Seriously. This is how it started for me.

I experience this 1-3 times a week. Usually caused by me placing my head on my forearm/elbow

I think we are on to something... what do you do if you have this?

There's a surgery that they have for carpal tunnel problems. A coworker had it done a while back. I don't remember the details of how he explained it.

How are you sleeping? If on your back, slap a pillow under an arm that feels like that.
Happens to me but I think it's cuz I'm a fat frick and my arms down like that are getting circulation cut off.

I think we're on to you be a little puss. Just move your arm or get another pillow to raise it up.

Go get the test to confirm, have the surgery to repair.

Only if I lay on my back, which is where I like to fall asleep. Just stopped doing that, and haven't had nearly as much trouble.

I thought I had a problem a few years back. Legs kept falling asleep. Sometimes at the same time and sometimes one before the other. It had been going on for years. So I finally broke down and went to the doctor to get it checked out. After him taking all of my vitals and some general health reports, we got to the original problem. He said it was no big deal and I should set a timer or get up when I feel like I'm done. It still happens from time to time, but not as regular as it used to be. I still wonder sometimes if there is a problem but i think I'll just not worry about it.

Yes, it happens to me often. My Dr. says it's carpal tunnel. I've never had the test. I also have numbness and tingling in my hand and fingers. I take gabapentin. It helps. I'm trying to hold off on surgery as long as possible.

Go to a chiropractor and get your neck/spine adjusted.
