Anyone ever dealt with a photo enforcement speeding ticket in Arizona?

Was back in Arizona in May.
Just received a notice from rental car company of a 30 dollar “handling fee” for a citation I received from a PD in Arizona for a photo enforcement speeding violation.
This was over 3 months ago and I’ve still not received a citation from anyone in AZ so I was a little surprised. Also went online and entered the supposed citation number and nothing was found. I’ve also contacted the PE office and received no response.
My question is, if I actually receive a citation in the mail what should I do? I live in SC. A quick google search (super reliable, I know) basically says if I ignore the ticket - since it wasnt handed to me by a live officer - the case will end up being dismissed.
I’m actually prior LEO and never in my life have I heard of cameras on red lights for speeding enforcement. I’ve heard of the red light cameras but not this. My question is this, should I just ignore the damn thing if I do end up receiving it? Not trying to be a bum but the fact it’s been over 3 months and I haven’t received anything is bullshite.

I blew past one in Arizona years ago and never heard anything from them. I guess it might not have been turned on at the time, or they might realize that sending a ticket to someone with an out of state plate isn't going to get anywhere.

I got one of those 10 years ago.
I think the rental company gets the citation since they own the car. Law enforcement doesn't know who the driver of the car is.
You likely already signed an agreement with the rental company to pay any traffic fines, so you are SOL buddy. Pay it or they may send it to collections.
ETA Wait now I'm confused. An officer gave you the citation? WTF? It was photo enforcement.

No an officer didn’t give it to me. That’s why I’m saying I haven’t been served.
The rental company doesn’t get the citation. The letter they sent said a citation would come from the city itself.

I got one and received a ticket in the mail and threw it in the trash. Unless you get served the ticket they cannot do anything. My wife did the same, never had an issue.

That’s what I thought. And I’ve read about them serving in person, but if they have the money to fly someone to my house in SC then good for them.
I have tried to call and email but that certainly wouldn’t legally count as being served. Plus, they haven’t responded to me anyways.

The traffic camera tickets here come from a company in AZ and go straight to the trash.

Just don't pay shite, citation or rental fee, and avoid that shithole. You'll be fine.

Why the periods? If I don’t believe I’m guilty and don’t ethically believe in the red light cameras why would I pay?
I don’t have any data in my hand to prove I was guilty.

In the terms and conditions of the rental car companies now, they can assess a fee if they receive one of those citations. I got a speeding one in N.O., but never received the actual citation, just charged a fee from the rental car company. It sucks, but not worth fighting. I think it was $30 or $50.

Yep, the rental car company charged my $30. Which is fine. Whatever I’ll pay that.
But don’t plan on acknowledging the photo enforcement ticket.

Throw that shite in the trash right away. Don’t even give it a second thought

I did a search and couldn’t find anything. I suck.

If you get a ticket either pay it or fight it. Ignoring problems rarely makes them go away.

My son got one a few years ago from there. It took about 2-3 months after the fact before it showed up in the mail.

I normally agree with you. Except legally, if you do ignore it - and they never serve you - then it does.
