The place sounds like heaven to me!

I checked out this video and it sounds like a damn fine place to live. I believe the video is about an hour long, but you get a feel for the place in a lot shorter time than that. Check it out, if you are interested.

This is where I’ve worked for 33 months since October 2021 and currently here now. Planes come through twice a week between the UK, here, the Falklands and vice versa.

For you guys that fish, 300# yellowfin tuna are caught less than a mile offshore and up to 150# from the shore.

Just there in mid Nov. We did an 18 day Antarctica Cruise. S. Georgia had way more wildlife but both places were unreal.

I bet every real British person has thought about moving there over the last decade or so

We did not. The weather was pretty rough a couple days causing us to miss a couple landings. At one point we went through 170km winds and the boat was really rocking. We went to Brown Bluff for the land on the peninsula. We're in Bariloche now and finally headed back to HI after 5 weeks on this trip!

As Eddie Izzard said, the Brits fought the Falklands Islands war for strategic sheep purposes.

It's not bad. It was better before starlink came along.

Based on country of origin, it seems to be pretty varied…however, everyone that they ran across in the clip, seemed to be perfectly clean-cut.

That’s what I like about the place…it was spotlessly clean and totally uncrowded. 100% college educated in the UK.

I have been to a few islands off the coast of Chile near the Falkland Islands. Not sure I could live there.

The guy in the video said it was the middle of summer and he had on a hoodie with 30+mph winds in the middle of the day. I'd imagine it gets brutally cold 9+ months out of the year.
