The house tour is really nice, and the story about Joe Jefferson is interesting. The grounds are gorgeous. The restaurant is meh.
I'd do Landry's Seafood, which is east of Jeanerette, beware the speed traps. You have to exit 187, then double back on the service road a little. The Duck and Andouille Gumbo is the best.

I think cool how grown the house you can see the salt dunes going South. Just pretty cool.

I’ve been there for a wedding. It’s beautiful but I wouldn’t make a special trip there for it.
