re: Anyone ever been to a Dollar General Store? Is it like a poor's Walmart?

I never plan to go to DG, but there is one located in the ~2 miles between work and home. I'll stop there on occasion for bread, milk, eggs, chips, or soda if the parking lot isn't full. I hate the layout of the store but it is so much easier to get in and out than a WalMart/Target/Kroger due to the small store size. That and proximity are the only reason I ever go. I can't imagine that being my only option though...
