Dozens upon dozens of times. Just about every snake we caught as kids bit us. The majority were either racers or water snakes, and I'd catch around 50-70 snakes/year in my youth. . You just grab where you can to make sure you make the catch. Worry about getting them by the head after they're caught. Racers would often tag us 3-4 times before we'd get ahold of the head. Biggest bite was a 6'4" rat snake. It doesn't hurt that bad at all. I would let a pissed off racer bite me a dozen times before I'd take a sting from a red wasp.

I got bit on the elbow by a cotton mouth. The actual bite didn't hurt. The subsequent swelling to 10 times its normal size of my arm kinda sucked.

Many times. Had ball pythons as pets and if you went to pick them up and they were hungry they might strike. Scares you more than anything but no it doesn't hurt. Stop being a girly man baw

Yes. Yellow bellied water snake on Achilles while checking rice water. Scared the shite out of me but didn't hurt too much

Rarely did we just run across one in the course of daily life. We'd actively search the woods or walk the canal banks for hours to find them.

Yep, cottonmouth on the lower leg. Cost me about 66k dollars after it was all done. Leg stayed lanced open for 3 weeks. Needles to say it was painful.
