Absolutely.

My kids are virtually grown.

Not yet married so we still get Christmas in our house this year.

It is wonderful and I still get a bit teary at times.

With everything that has happened this year things were tight. My kids knew this and said that they didn’t want any gifts this year. They only wanted to watch Christmas movies, make the ornaments like we always do, and make fudge.

Sounds like you've raised some good kids. Congrats.

I have to agree. The shocking part is that they are teenagers.

I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old.

The 2 year old today was the first real Christmas I got with her where she understood what was going on.

One of the best days of my life

She’s was literally running around the living room screaming she was so excited.

She crashed on my chest for a 2 hour nap after a Christmas cookie sugar rush.

She woke up at one point - hugged my neck and said “I love you daddy”

Moments like that just put everything into perspective in a split second.

My 4 years just brought a mix of frustration and joy.

It'll be an absolute blast for you for the next 7 years or so. Make sure when the oldest one figures it out that she plays along for a few years for the younger one. They are usually more than willing because it makes them feel all grown up.

We had a pretty proud day today as both our teenagers agreed to leave their phones in their rooms all day. Watched A Christmas Story, played a few board games, laughed, went for a family walk, and just had a great day with no technology sucking our time from each other.

Yes I miss the old days when they were little, bound and determined to stay up and see Santa. Cookies and milk on the ready....

And there they lay, crashed out on the couch, failed in their mission to remain awake, while we set up the new bicycles and other goodies.

Those kids are 20 and 22 now for a moment but now

I've got a 5 year old great grandson. Get used to it. It's tough watching the grandchildren grow up.

I couldn’t been more proud of him. I just know as they get older they don’t believe so hope I remember today when he makes his mistakes

I know I’m supposed to cherish this time, but my 6 month old hardly sleeps at all. I’m ready for this shite to be over with. My 3 y/o is a ton of fun, but I hate babies.

My oldest is 17 and my youngest is 5 - we still have a lot of fun on Christmas

It was really great to see my older kids playing with the younger kids today - they even went outside for a while and ran around like they were all 5 years old

The older ones play along with the Santa stuff and even volunteered to help put out the stuff in the middle of the night so I could get more sleep
