That new Xbox wasn't cheap

Try one of each plus an extra controller each. My uncle warned me about time flying by and it has. I blinked and my kids turned into teens. My youngest (13) got his Xbox from us but then one grandma gave him $400 and the other gave him a Keurig for his room to go with his mini fridge. With the $400 he bought a 50" TV and is going out to buy an Apple watch tomorrow.

My wife and I were comparing our humble childhoods to our kids being spoiled. Her mom made a comment today and my wife had to fib and tell her the only way we could afford everything was a bonus from work. It is nice to know that they'll be in their own/college when the next Gen game systems come out.

The moment which saddens me is knowing I am aging right along with our three children and ten grandchildren and anticipating the moments I will likely never experience with them.

Our children gave us runs for our money but they were kids and that is what kids do on occasions. They have great spouses and the grands are todays Christmas mornings.

I tend to live in tomorrows but even that has lessened as I have aged. Slowing down and for all the right reasons has been more than enjoyable. In the meantime, I will hope to live for at least two more decades and have many more moments of joy to tuck away.

No. He’s way too woke for me to be able to comprehend what he has to say.

Our 4 year old legit squealed with excitement with every present he unwrapped. Incredibly sweet and cute. I’ll miss these moments.

But I sure as hell ain’t having a 4th kid.

A 90 year old man once told me “be where your feet are”. I always try to remember that when my mind wanders to tomorrow instead of staying in today.
