Anyone else think we should invade Mexico?

I do. It makes a lot more sense than spending trillions to kill goat fricking Arabs and helping Ukraine kill Russians on the other side of the planet. Meanwhile we have cartels and coyotes sending drugs and rapists across our own border killing thousands of people each day.
What would be so wrong with invading, killing everyone associated with drugs or human trafficking and then setting up a 100 mile wide DMZ buffer zone?

No.
Just militarize the border
Just militarize the border

I think we should all quietly, without telling the illegals, move to Mexico. Let the them come up here and then keep them from crossing back. The old switcharoo.

Been there. Done that.
Didn’t work those times. Wouldn’t work this time.

We can do that and also carry out a targeted assassination campaign against cartels members and corrupt policemen and politicians with our drones and special forces.

Why don't we start by arresting all the banksters, politicians, and business men on this side of the border that profit off it first and work our way that way.

Youre just saying words that make no sense. Last time we invaded Mexico we got California from them.

Negative.

No. We need to be less involved in foreign countries, not more involved. The last 25 years of poor foreign policy have gotten us 35 trillion in debt. Seal the border and handle our own sh*t.

Why risk American lives, especially of volunteers?
We would probably be better off if we nuked Mexico. The fallout should stay south of us and would create a physical barrier against more invaders also not requiring personnel or the cost of equipment.
Acquiring a bunch of avocado farms and tequila cactus is not worth Americans life, limbs, nor $.

We are better off with order in the cartels. Less violence that way
When you start killing leaders there is a power vacuum and violence would spread across border as well

Stop spouting talking points and think for yourself. Theres a difference between invading and killing drug dealers and murderers on our border and fighting a fake enemy in the middle east.

And what would be the cartel response?

Can't we just get avocados at the grocery?

No. We have invaded Mexico numerous times since 1848 when California and the southwest were annexed. Every time with the goal of ending the border crossings and lawlessness that came with it. Including twice just before and during World War 1. It didn’t work.

Thats like saying we were better off with order in Al Queda. Yet we've chased them all over the planet playing whack a mole and causing chaos and haven't had a major terrorist attack since.

Please read up on the Cuban Missile Crisis before you think it’s a good move to wage war against a neighboring country.
