It's usually in the last place you looked.

Sounds like a symptom of anxiety

Happens to me, I'm 37. I blame it on all the weed I smoked in my youth.

I'll go with the zebra of a left MCA infarct that somehow didn't show up on the MRI. Too many people riding the topamax horse.

When i go a while without smoking I am fine, when I smoke the same day I will stammer my words and not make as much sense.

To clarify, this issue started years before I began the Topamax. The Topamax doesn't seem to make it worse which surprised me based upon the doctor's warnings.

I drink but I am not a serious drunk. Mostly weekends, especially around game day. Otherwise I drink sparingly.

Perhaps it is anxiety related or simply something I was born with like essential tremor.

I had similar problem. Saw a neuropsychologist and was diagnosed with ADD at age 40.

Text less, speak more. Seriously, the more you actually practice something, the better you are at the exercise. Because of the use of texting, many people are getting away from the art of speaking to each other thus we loose the ability to quickly think on our feet and grasp the word we're looking for. Texting allows you the spare moment or two to articulate your sentences. Face to face discussion does not allow for this lapse.

Read a newspaper daily. It helps immensely.
