I mean, I'm slightly more apprehensive than normal that something bad will happen to the West on Thursday. I wouldn't call it being nervous or anxious though.

so you agree with my thread but a semantic argmentn between the definitions of anxious and "slightly more apprehensive than normal" is what you take issue with?

What's your definition of regularly? Because I certainly don't think it happens regularly.

Yearly they succeed in killing American citizens. That's kind of a big deal.

And your point is? Millions of others are plotting to do the same thing every day. Either way, they're still cowards and my point still stands.

I never said they weren't cowards. They are however successful at killing American's and there is a valid concern that they will try and do it again in a couple days and at the very least that should make you interested in what they're doing.

Last year was the first time I was nervous, and that's only because it's the first time flew on 9/11. Wasn't that nervous, but was in the back of my mind. This years happenings actually make me more nervous than that.

Can you please post the yearly death count here? I'd like to see what it is. I bet it's much lower than you think. I honestly don't think it's nearly as big of a deal as you're making it out to be.

How many citizens do they kill on US soil each year? If you're counting US soldiers or not on US soil, that's different.

Besides the Boston Bombing and 9/11, I can barely think of any other events in the recent decade that were terrorist related attacks on US citizens. The Fort Hood stuff is an attack on US soldiers, not US citizens.

Does walking outside in a thunderstorm make you anxious? I cannot do it without Xanax.

Of course I'm counting outside the US. The whole Bengahzi incident was kind of a big deal.

Ok. I'll stop talking to you then.

Why not use this same attitude and apply it to all deaths then? Have you looked at the number of suicides, cancer deaths, and car accident deaths in the US? All far exceed terrorist killings.

Terrorist 1: " for the 13th year in a row, Americans are expecting an attack on the anniversary of 9/11. There will be more security and awareness on the part of the American people for anything that seems out of place"

Terrorist #2: " we should definately attack when they most expect it"

I can't wait for ISIS to overturn an 18-wheeler on the new I-10 Bridge in BR during rush hour. Oh wait...we don't need terrorists for that to happen

If they did do something I highly doubt they'd hijack another airplane. That'd be pretty tough to do now especially near 9/11.

They don't need to. They already have over a dozen planes at their disposal that they seized.

Ok. On the anniversary of cancer death day when cancer goes on the news and promises me that he'll cause mass destruction on that day again i'll be anxious about it.

Depends. I have concerns for the West at large on days like Thursday, elevated slightly from the norm. But I have no personal concerns, really. So if the former is what you're referring to, I agree, semantic differences and all.

If you think NORAD won't have their Atlantic fleet primed and ready to go, then you are silly. No way these aircraft into Atlantic airspace, and US airspace.

I have to disagree. These people want publicity and media coverage. Even something small will get them a ton of coverage.

I tend to agree. I'd bet on several car bombings scattered about. It just seems logistically easier for them to pull off undetected. I'd bet something happens this year because these ISIS cats are literally dying for attention. The Feds will act all surprised afterward that the terrorist came across the southern border.
