Not like that.

Picture it like the lyrics of a Bruce Springstein song:

"Workin' man heads to work and can't mow his yard...
Passes some a-hole Babyboomer on his ExMark."

The house I used to have I would over fertilize the Bermuda and mowed every other day. I'd play all sorts of games trying to make patchwork, spirals, etc. It was immaculate, thick, and so green it was almost blue. I was going thru a tough time with some things and it became my hobby/escape for a summer. I'd spend about three hours every afternoon after work edging, mowing, watering, fertilizing, etc.

Unless I was doing this at the crack of dawn, im not sure who I was hurting.

As long as he's not:

Starting before 8:00 AM on the weekend
Blowing clippings all over your property
Borrowing your equipment all the time

Then it's all good

No. I'm still grinding and have kids and stuff. Busy. This guy always makes my yard look like shite because he is retired and has nothing

Do your kids help? I cut my own grass because my old man made me start cutting when I was about 10 and I enjoy it and do it the way I want it done. My wife likes to as well and so does my kid so it's not a real chore.

But I have plenty of friends with teenage sons that wouldn't know how to start a fricking lawnmower much less cut the grass. And this is the shame of it.

I hear the leaf blower right now.

My neighbor is a retired Stennis engineer. Dude is pretty maticulous.

I don't complain though. He always hits my driveway.

I have a neighbor who can't stand to have grass higher than me. Every time I mow, he has to mow his, even if he has just cut it the day before.

Yes. He’s about 70 yrs old. Cuts grass with his shirt off smoking cigars. But he's a good old baw.

We just came to the conclusion that he had to have entirely loathed his wife and kids to do that.

I have a neighbor who owns a riding lawnmower, yet push mows his yard at least twice a week. Sometimes he's cutting at 6am, sometimes at 9pm with a head lamp. He is also meticulous about raking leaves and bagging grass. His wife pretty much runs a daycare/after school for all of his grandchildren and other family. Every day, there are at least 7-8 kids under the age of 13 at his house.

He told me, "Don't ever tell my wife the riding lawnmower works. Yard work gets me out of the house and keeps my sanity."

My retired neighbor used to do this and would get bored enough to cut mine as well. The only reason it bothered me is because he would do a really shitty job on mine. Now he is too old to do it so I cut both of ours and he buys me beer

The old guy that lived next door to us growing up. Always out in his yard cleaning and cutting grass. I think he sat and waited for something to fall out the tree. It must have been good exercise though because he lived to age 96 and he was a pretty neat old coot who told me stories about serving in Italy in WWII.

My neighbor isnt retired, but cuts his grass twice a week.

He also walks his yard every day picking up sticks and leaves. It looks like a fairway at the Masters.

My yard looks pretty good but looks like shite compared to his.

Have you asked him since he is so bored that he cut your grass? Even jokingly?
