I’ve had these at least the size of grapes every time I get a sore throat or fight off any kind of sinus infection …for over 30 years now. That’s just how some of us respond to infections.

Yep, same for me, I have cold sores (the Herps), and most times before or after I develop one, I get a swollen lymph node on left jawline.

Agree, stay off WebMD, could be a huge number of benign issues, but seeing the doctor is always a good idea, because even if it's not, you'd rather get treating it.

I have a close friend who had it 8 years ago; she went through several months of chemo, but did great with it and has been in remission since.

Sarcoidosis can mimic lymphoma even on pet scans. Something you need to discuss with a doctor.

My oldest brother died from T Cell Lymphoma.

If you are showing symptoms or suspect you have it. RUN DON'T WALK to the doctor.

My brother waited.

Doctor said it could be a multitude of things and advised me not to worry - but did admit my symptoms do align with lymphoma or some type of blood cancer, in a worst-case scenario. Claimed it’s likely a sinus infection. Did some blood work and prescribed antibiotics. Gonna give me a a call to discuss blood results next week.

Get allergy tested. My wife thought she had a few things wrong for years and years, but by getting allergy testing and eliminating certain things from her diet, those things went away.

Anytime the doctor doesn’t send you directly to the hospital, is a victory. If he had been worried, he would have received the lab tresults back immediately and talked to you this afternoon. The fact that none of that happened, is good news.

Glad you went. Also exactly why you shouldn’t self diagnose. Everything looks like cancer or a death sentence. Best just to go get evaluated.

Update: been on antibiotics for 6-7 days and symptoms haven’t subsided at all. My blood work should be in today. Waiting to hear from the doc. Have a bad feeling about this

Waiting on test results is excruciating….often worse than even if things don’t go your way. Regardless of the news, certainty is better than uncertainty.

I had the same exact scenario a few years ago, night sweats, recurring late night fever, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes... I was certain I was looking at a Hodgkin's Lymphoma diagnosis.

Did blood work, and even a core needle biopsy. Results came back as mononucleosis and Epstein Barr.

You never know how these things will turn out.

I am a cancer patient and this is exactly how mine started. Go to an Oncologist and get checked out ASAP. I went to two different doctors telling them there was something wrong with me and they couldn’t figure it out. The faster they find a disease like cancer the better chance you have of being fully cured.
