At the same time do not self diagnose. You are not the only one who has ever had this. I would stay off google and see what your doctor says. For your mental health.

When I had lymphoma Burketts like I had two tumors. One the size of a baseball, one an orange, and one the size of a softball. They were in my abdomen. At that time I had no fat but two huge it felt like bricks. I could hit it and it would feel like knocking on bricks. Some days I would feel so much pain in my bladder area it was painful to walk. Didn’t think much of it as I was scared to go to the doctor.

The guys where I worked thought I needed to go to the doctor. One tricked me after going to the ER to follow up on a case, and he asked the doctor to look at me. I was leaning up on a wall as it was painful to walk. It was a hot female, so yup I was for the exam. She did test and admitted me in the hospital around 10 pm.

I had a tumor pressing on my bladder and nerves toward my nutts which is why I was in serious pain. They did exploratory surgery around 5 am the next morning, and took three tumors.

Then I had inpatient chemo for 3 months which is basically 4 treatments.

Yes, it all sucks, but been well over 20 yrs.

Just had a friend pass from Sarcoidosis about 3 years ago. I had never heard of it before that.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. It is a very mysterious disease. Medical community has no idea what causes it and only knows to treat symptoms with heavy doses of steroids. I read somewhere one time that it can best be described as a “general feeling of malaise” which is very very accurate. You can tell something just isn’t right with the way you feel and you just can’t put a finger on it or describe it very well.

That sucks. Sorry. What's sort of ironic is, I was hoping for sarcoidosis when the doc said it was either that or lymphoma.

My dad in the ‘80s.

Two remissions and then the third bout got him.

Non-Hodgkins variety.

Not good.

Doctor said it could be a multitude of things and advised me not to worry - but did admit my symptoms do align with lymphoma or some type of blood cancer, in a worst-case scenario. Claimed it’s likely a sinus infection. Did some blood work and prescribed antibiotics. Gonna give me a a call to discuss blood results next week.

Good to hear. Also, remember we always go straight to the worst diagnosis when it is probably something benign as the following:

Insist on getting the swollen lymph node biopsied. Same thing happened to me and the GP shrugged it off for years. By the time it was found, I was in stage IV. Don't blow it off. Sounds like Lymphoma.

The good news is that if you do have cancer, this is the one to get. Treatment is highly successful.

I believe this is next for me. My appointment is in a week, I dread it.

But it is what it is. I've avoided treatment for 6 years, so I knew it would come at some point.

Still on the antibiotics. Swelling may have gone down just a bit on the lymph node, but it’s still there. My doctor said the blood results looked good. Everything seemed to be fine with white blood cells, thyroid, kidneys, liver etc. Told me to finish the regiment of pills and give him a call afterwards.
