What was your OTD price and what type of financing deals does Honda offer? Looking for a Si 6 speed manual (4 door hatchback) in black or white for college student son. Anything to look out for with these vehicles?

you may be able to get something decent on a base or sport. On an Si you would be lucky to get MSRP plus bout $2k in add ons. Most dealers have 0 Si.

Si's have been selling over MSRP for years, way before Covid came along. WHY are you getting your college kid a new Si? Get him something nice but used, it doesn't have to be an Si... Honda surprisingly lags behind other brands in resale value, so used Hondas are usually a decent deal.

When the time comes, do you flip a coin for who pays for the wedding?

Great info, thanks! I'm not familiar with the small car market at all.

I wouldn't think many college-age boys would turn down a BRZ or WRX STI.

Dude. Buy a used Civic Si. 8th gen (2006-2011) is the best one. $7-9k for one under 100K miles. I had one as my side ride and it was the most fun car I've ever driven. Beat the shite out of it and never had one problem other than the high mileage engine (194k) burning oil (which was ultimately why I sold it).
Buying a new car right now is a dumb move.

Well most dealerships right now tell you too look at the website and whatever price it is, is what they are gonna sell it to your for, plus shipping charges and whatever they feel like adding on. No more no less. Plus you have to wait 8 to 12 weeks for it to come in.

Used 10th generation Si's are selling for more than they were new right now bc the 11th gen is garbage.

Still driving my 2007 Civic Si sedan.
Runs too good to get rid of.

My 06 Si Coupe was ridiculously fun.
I don't mince words when I say I beat the absolute piss out of that car. I'd take it on joyrides during COVID quarantine up in the north GA backroads. The thrill of hearing the "bwahhhhh" sound of the VTEC crossover at 5800 RPM was just too much.
Went through an entire brake pad set in 20k miles
