I’m sure it is very cool to see them launch. But it is not going to outer space. This is just another government op to try and pierce the firmament…

They're launching off LC-39B which is the northern most launch pad at KSC/CCAFS. Artemis will be spectacular and it will be really cool if you get to see if with your son.
Night launches are cool because of how much they light up the sky but the plume is pretty much all you'll see. T-0 for Art2 is at 6:24 PM so not too long before sunset. IMO, this is the best time of day to see a launch.
Here's one of the best videos on what the experience is like. It's being shot about 3 miles from the LC-39A. Put some head phones on and enjoy the staccato thunder.

Closest I got was I saw a nighttime Space Shuttle launch from a rooftop in Orlando when I was in bootcamp. Seemed like Orlando was lit up even from that far away.
