A friend from Waco who know both Koresh and the local sheriff said that if the sheriff had of been tasked with the job instead of ATF, David would have complied easily. Trust had been built between the two already. Feds should have stayed the F away

See the YFZ ranch in Eldorado, TX.

They let local law enforcement run things and while not awesome, much better outcome with less bloodshed.

ETA: I lived in San Angelo at the time and was there for a lot of the hubbub when it was going on. The whole thing sucked and I definitely abhor child brides but I’m glad there was no loss of life.

I worked with the pilot that discovered their temple by accident.

Barr received a routine questionnaire from the Judiciary Committee asking him to disclose his past work including pro bono activities “serving the disadvantaged.” The “disadvantaged” that Barr spent the most time helping was an FBI agent who slayed an Idaho mother holding her baby in 1992. Barr spent two weeks organizing former Attorneys General and others to support “an FBI sniper in defending against criminal charges in connection with the Ruby Ridge incident.” Barr also “assisted in framing legal arguments advanced… in the district court and the subsequent appeal to the Ninth Circuit,” he told the committee.

Banned for what dickmunch? Having views that don't align with yours?
It is a free country...somewhat.

I’m guessing 3 minutes ago was the time you first learned that a large federal building wasn’t limited to ATF and FBI offices

There's a lot of fishy shite regarding OKC as well.

Yes they were.

They aligned themselves with neo-nazis, and Randy was selling illegal guns for what he believed were members of that organization.

While there were mistakes made by both sides, he and his wife did everything possible to escalate the events.

Listen to the Timesuck episode on Ruby Ridge. The host grew up in Idaho and believed what you do until he did the research for the episode.

The Weavers brought about a self-fulfilling prophecy because he didn't want to go to court. And it resulted in the death of US Marshall and his wife and son.

The feds put the Weaver family in a no win situation, they entrapped Randy on a gun charge that locals said he didn't want any part of.

It has been documented that he refused to cut the shotgun barrels down several times before he reluctantly agreed to it, then they hit him with illegal weapons charges.

It was a witch hunt from the word go just because he didn't want to live like the government thought he should.

I guess some people will always be willing to lick the boots of the gestapo.

The poster you replied to would gleefully jail his political opponents if he could.

As for the Waco incident, what were we being distracted from at the time? Bill Clinton was a master and diversion.

PS - I voted for Bill Clinton. Yeah, I know.

Before that death, the FBI was still trying to do everything to make a peaceful resolution.

An FBI informant set Weaver up, and the issue was a fricking sawed off shotgun.

Bootlickers (Progressives) will forever praise the FBI and ATF for taking that assualty, scary short barreled shotgun off the streets.

Might have even prevented someone from being killed.

Its funny how so many on here portray themselves as hard working, rough and tumble, freedom loving american baws until a thread like this comes along.
Then the bootlickers get outed like a tranny in the girls locker room.

I find that is the case with a lot of people. The whole covid thing opened my eyes to a lot of it. If one good thing came from covid now we know who will turn us in if things ever really got real in the US and we had to fight to maintain our freedoms.
