I know it’s not literally a brain swab but the six inch cotton swab deep into the naval canal. Doctor wanted me and my wife to get one but we are opting to do the cheek swab instead.
We know it’s not as accurate but the doctor even admitted the brain swab was really for more accurate data for the community.
We’ve had a few friends say it was horrific so we’ve decided to chicken out.

I haven’t done it for Covid, but have for other things and it’s terrible.

I'm not refusing it, but I have no reason to take it.

Had a scope up my nose for a deviated septum. 100x worse and still not that bad.

Makes you want to sneeze.

why?

what good does it do?

does it change the way you are being treated?

does the medication change?

who gives a flying frick about covid. it's over. .15 % chance that i will die from it. i have a better chance of getting into a car accident than i do dying from this pandemic virus.

I've done it for flu before and it sucks. I will not be taking any China virus tests.

Don’t be a pussy it might make you sneeze at worst.

If you’re scared of a cotton swab in your nose then holy hell how do you survive in the world?

I had it last week. Mildly uncomfortable at worst.

I mean, I’m just refusing the test. Unless it’s absolutely required for some reason. There’s no point. Doesn’t really have to do with the discomfort of it though.

Curious how many times yall have been offered a test when it wasn't required.

The COVID version isn’t nearly as bad as Swab for flu.

I’ve been tested twice.

Once early on when I had contact with a guy who had it at work and my boss made me get it before I came back.

The other time I had symptoms and my once again my boss wanted me to get tested before I came back to work.

Both were negative. Both took up maybe 10 minutes of my time and neither one was worse than having to sneeze.

People are going and getting the test when they have no symptoms because they were in proximity to someone positive. I don’t understand that.

My only tests were when I thought I might have covid and were going to be near my parents who are technically high risk.

I don't get the aversion that some have to taking the test.
