Looks kind of like a secretary I had back then who stopped showing up for work. This would explain it.

Now, there is an increased effort to identify another possible victim. Her remains were found off of Victory Road in Marion on March 10, 2007. She may have been killed years prior.

On Tuesday, the attorney general’s office sent a public bulletin to authorities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Isotope analysis of the victim determined she was likely born in one of these states. Testing also showed she likely spent the last five years of her life in Texas, Florida or the Caribbean.

I've definitely seen worse complexions walking around in the quad.

The Marion County Jane Doe was between 15 and 30 years old. She had brown hair and was likely between 5 foot 3 and 5 foot 9

I wonder if they're working with an incomplete skeleton to be that far off of those ranges, especially height.

Stable isotope analysis is pretty neat.

Another news outlet in Ohio released this never before seen photo of the victim with a potential suspect. This is thought to be last photo of the victim before her demise:

Aren’t there like at least 4 serial killers from Baton Rouge, including 2 who were doing their thing at the same time?

The FBI estimates that there are at least 25-50 serial killers operating at any given time. Chances are that BR, and most any other city, has seen a few even if they didn't know it.

Derrick Todd Lee ('92-'03) and Sean Vincent Gillis ('94-'03)were murdering at the same time and there was suspicion of a third nameless murderer according to a couple of books I read.

You are probably correct about the height estimate disparity. Animal scavenging accounts for most instances of incomplete skeletal remains.

Another problem with clay 3D reconstructions is when articles of clothing are not found with the remains - as the build of the individual is not known.

Artists that do these reconstructions work off of a chart which gives guidelines (based on gender and race) of the depth of the skin at points on the skull/face, known as 'tissue depth markers'.

This was good work considering the agency probably had very little to go on.
