re: Anybody not go to or host a Super Bowl party?

I just got back from working 2 weeks in Boston. I vowed not to leave my friendly confines till Monday, Super Bowl or not.

Watching The Super Bowl is becoming less attractive to me each year proportionate to the increase in hype - except of course if the Saints make it.

I really don't like the game coming on so late on Sunday and the length of the game especially including the hour-long halftime extravaganza makes it difficult to keep my attention. It all ruins the flow of the game. It's not like a real game very much.

The games I go out of my way to see are the playoffs - especially the weekend before the Conference championships. To me those are the best games of the year - the best football weekend of the year.

Doesn't mean we can't drink.

Everyone works crazy hours and this is really the only time in the next month everyone will be off at the same time and in town. They got engaged a month ago and they're just now getting to make it happen. I'm getting a good meal out of it and I have a dvr. I'll be good....It's not like it's an lsu or Saints game that I would actually care about.

For the first time ever, me, too. We've been cooking all day, but we're trying quite a few new dips and meats.

Then I got a sample 12-pack of the new Blue Moon flavors and here we are!
