It’s “blistering” cold here December- Feb
By March it’s in the 40s (which I don’t find that cold anymore)
40 degrees is cold any time of year, and it is never good spring weather. I grew up in a trash climate, and Boston is not much different. The summer Season up there is like 6-8 weeks long. I’ve been there in June and needed a sweater. The place is just not a very inviting unless you like cold weather.
The people are a generally miserable lot, largely because the live in terrible weather most of the time around other equally miserable people.

This hasn’t been my experience at all

Sorry, but I think you’re looking at things through whatever the opposite of rose colored glasses is. Because you’re wrong.
I was at the beach today and it was perfect.

I have a lot of friends in Chicago and Minneapolis that say the same. The weather there is terrible too.
Google “US cities with worst climate” and Boston will likely be there. Any city that has great outdoor hockey participation has godawful weather.
I like the area, but living there year round would be brutal.

That’s your opinion I suppose. Personally I don’t mind living in a place that rates at or near the top in education, health care, income, etc. But I guess sometimes it gets a little chilly.
The cold can suck at times, but no more or less than the oppressive heat in the south. Two sides of the same coin.
Summers here can’t be beat, and fall is a close second. Winter isn’t bad for the first month. It’s really spring that sucks the most.

I guess that’s opinion, because I just don’t find that unbearable anymore
Boston is colder than NYC, but from my experience there and the Midwest, the Midwestern cities are the worst
Although I do enjoy colder weather now and could never do weather like New Orleans

If heaven ain’t a lot like Dixie.
I don’t wanna go.
You could send me to hell or New York City it would be able the same to me.

40 degrees isn’t bad at all. I found the worst part of the winter were the stretches when the temperature didn’t get above freezing.
In Denver, it’ll be high teens every morning for months but it’ll be 45 by10a. In NYC and Boston, if it was 25, it was 25 for a month.

However the idea that NYC isn’t coming back is crazy.
Get rid of whackjobs like Cuomo and De Blasio and it probably will come back.

I would move to Denver in a heartbeat if I could. Practically anywhere in Colorado for that matter. I want snow and mountains! Lol
