Anybody having trouble paying their expired Brake Tag tickets?

EBR Parish. Got it right as Covid stuff was kicking into high gear on March 16th. I think that's literally when they started to shut us down and this EBR Sheriff does a very aggressive U turn after he passed me like he just passed a top ten most wanted fugitive and speeds up to pull me over. Seems like a real priority as everyone's losing their income but that's a subject for a different thread. All good I will pay it. Or at least try but when I go online they say my ticket cant be found when I put in the ticket number. Is there anything going on with the site or tickets in general in EBR? It's definitely the correct ticket number.

Not sure everywhere, but NOLA is forgiving tags that expired in March/April/May (maybe February too)

Me. Cant pay online, nobody answers emails and it seems like tickets are not even in the system.

Likely they didn't enter it in the system, which doesn't exclude you from having to pay it. I'd call and talk to someone. As the other poster said, they might forgive it

mine expired 4/30 but, it's so fricking curled up they can't see if it's expired.

Somehow we will get an added fine, fee for missing court or have a warrant issued to us.

They don’t give brake tag tickets in EBR so probably why.

Cant get in touch with anyone via phone or email. You would have thought maybe someone would have the foresight to at least address this either on a recording or on their website.

I know some cops sit on their tickets and turn them in as a bunch. So he may not have entered it yet

Send your payment via certified mail. That way you have proof you submitted the payment. Only thing I can think of to do.

It’s called an inspection certificate. We will also accept inspection sticker

Bought my car in February, I still don't have my inspection sticker. There is a sticker from the dealership that is in the place where it's supposed to be though. Surprised I haven't gotten pulled over yet but I figure it must just look like my car is from another state.

Buddy of mine (Baton Rouge) got a new windshield, and never bothered getting an inspection sticker for 2 years. During that time, he was pulled over twice and had a fender bender. Cops never even noticed there was nothing on the windshield.

Houston is not ticketing people with expired registration stickers. Mine was lost in the mail in March and they told me I didn't need to bother with it right now. I sent in the paperwork anyway to have a replacement sticker mailed to me and they waived the fees.
