Anybody ever use Beano with success?

If so, does it actually work or is it just some BS drug that’s really just a placebo? It seem like it would work since the enzymes break down foodstuffs in your digestive tract for you.
It would be nice to relieve the discomfort of digestion and the embarrassment that comes with it.

Flatulence is fun and funny.
Why would I take something that prevents one from crop dusting random folks at HEB.

You should try it for yourself.
Eat a big bowl of beans and give it a try.

If you really want to turn this super power off, just eat low carb.

It seems to lower the severity of certain ways my body responds to beans and cruciferous vegetables. Lessens but not a cureall.

You wouldn't really know if it did, would you?

The time comes when we all have to make the tough decision to stop pounding beer every weekend.
The realization sucks, but make no mistake, it comes for everyone.

My dad used to use it. He finally decided to just stop eating beans.

It’s raffinase enzyme to break down the raffinose in gassy foods that you couldn’t otherwise process (it’d be left to microbes that would make you lots of toots).
If my wife snuck that poison into my food I’d divorce her. I fart loud and proud.

After a couple of bowls of gumbo tonight, I’m thinking I might need to try it

Does she return the favor by booty blasting around you?

Yeah, this isn't the same thing at all. Beans, cabbage and other plant based foods contain raffinose, a sugar that our body cannot naturally digest. But our gut bacteria can ferment raffinose, which in turn produces carbon dioxide. Beano contains alpha-galactosidase which cleaves the alpha-1,6-glycosidic bonds in raffinose allowing our body to break down the simpler carbohydrates.
Gas-x contains simethicone which breaks apart gas bubbles in your stomach. This allows you to expel the gas orally.
