I qualified for the US Open in Kingwood TX. Afterwards, I went to a Waffle House with my girlfriend/psychiatrist and my friends.
One of my buddies noted that there was an exact same Waffle House in Odessa. Others thought it was in Midland. But then my ex girlfriend, who was also a stripper, corrected everybody and let everyone know the Waffle House was, in fact, in Odessa. She knew it was odessa cause she was born in Odessa.

I haven't been there since the late 1980's visiting a Texaco refiney about to be demolished. Limestone covered everything and it was basically liquid light hydrocarbons 1/2 down into the limestone gravel.. The place smelled like Zippo lighter fluid.
