My fiancé has this cat that will use the box every so often, but as soon as we go to bed, we wake up the next morning with a present in the living room (where no box is present) or in her office (right next to the box).

She has 2 cats / 3 boxes. The other cat does what he’s supposed to do but terrorizes the idiot cat a couple times a day. The good cat is a boy. The idiot cat is a girl. Both are fixed.

She took her to the vet and it was determined that the cat has OBS or some cat variety of it. Got some meds for it, but still hasn’t worked. Have any of you come across this before?

I gave her the idea of pointing out the the misfortune to the cat and putting her in her kennel. Not sure if that’s gonna work or not.

The cat hates you and hates her for bringing you into the mix. Hence the gifts in her office.

You're dead, 10/10 cat will smother you in your sleep one night soon. RIP OP

Yes. Easy fix. Your main problem is there is a cat living in your house

My SO has two cats that I wish I could get rid of also. I hate when they think the litter boxes aren't clean enough and then they shite or piss near the box. Luckily in our new home we have tile throughout but I still hate cleaning it up. Don't let me get started about the one cat clawing stuff up.

Dogs>cats by a landslide

I’ve brought up the “box isn’t clean enough” option to her. It would require her to put new litter in it everyday. She’d go broke.

Have the cat euthanized and cremated. Then sprinkle it's ashes on your fiance while taking her doggy style.

Post pics or it didn't happen!

Try a different type of litter.

Keep the boxes separated, as in different parts of the house.

Some times the cat is afraid to go in the litter box for fear of being attacked by another cat while in there.

Discourage the dominant cat from being aggressive to the passive cat.

Thing is they are her cats and I am the one that has to make sure the boxes are clean. She cleans it once and if I don't stay on top of it there are shite and piss clumps everywhere. I do get mad and tell her to keep them clean but I think it goes in one ear and out the other.

Get a litter genie and scoop it daily. Maybe put a third box. The good cat probably attacked the bad cat in the box and she’s scared of it now.

Also empty the box and scrub it clean (or replace it) to get the smell out. Make sure you also clean the spots where she shite

Never watched the question game show, but something like this, “ I’ll take $400 for what is a good cat Alex?”

It’s clearly establishing its dominance before it mauls your face

You should adresss the mental issues of your cat lady. Having two inside cats in a house is nasty.

Where the cat poops at, is it on a rug or carpet? I had a cat that would shite in the cat box all the time no problem, but when it got on the bath rug, she pissed on it a few times. I believe she did this because the rug was very 'hairy' (not best description) and she probably thought it was like some loose leaves or something (which they look for outside when picking a shitting spot). I looked it up more on the internet and there were many other people who had this similar problem, where there were certain rugs within the house where the cat would think it was a suitable shite/piss spot because it is similar to loose leaves/rubble that they look for outside.

The cat stays outside now, but she looks for a leafy spot that she can move the leaves over and shite and then cover it back up.
