Pure jealousy, they have been doing it for a long time.

Well, not really but I'll humor you.

I'd say that risking war and traseon is a little different than a bunch of babbling idiots wearing pussy hats or fake klan hoods is a little different. I don't see how you all don't understand that.

good one considering you don't know my political leanings.

Protests will not stop any shooters. The shooters ( not guns ) need to be culled from society. How do we do that ?

Eh, just because you can do it doesn't mean that's "the whole point of this country".

The whole point of this country is for the most part you can do whatever you want, and yes that includes protesting. That also includes other things like getting fricked up and enjoying this beautiful Saturday. I think I'll do that instead of some meaningless virtue signaling.

If you think the "whole point of this country" is to protest every frickin thing that comes along that upsets you, maybe you should find another country.

Can and should are totally different things.

In the 60's we had protests about segregation and the war in Vietnam. Now our protests resemble some damn facebook post about every perceived transgression.

WTF isn't the entire country pillaging Washington D.C. in protest of a completely inept Congress?

I’m out to dinner last night as part of a group of four heterosexual couples.

The men were (including myself) were all stand-up professionals- anesthesiologist, general surgeon, private defense attorney, and me.

We (men) got on the subject of our news intake habits.

We all formerly each read at least one newspaper per day and watched at least a half hour of TV news each day.

I am now the newshound champ of the group* because I check the British Broadcasting Company’s website daily.

*I didn’t admit it to them but I get a bit of news from this train wreck of a site.

Sad how smart folks now don’t get news because the news industry has gotten so fùcked up.

and i guess i dont get the issue here. we live in a country that is built on the right to be able to do this. you can think they are going overboard. i personally think its a reaffirmation of how awesome a country we live in when people can go out and organize shite like this on a weekly basis and not have to fear of having their heads cut off

Ironically, a very large percent of those perpetual protesters would love to limit the rights of those they disagree with. Cultural fricking Marxists.

Forgot - Congress approval rating went from 8% to 9% when Trump caved and signed yesterday.

Heads not rolling isn't the issue. The issue is when the protest market is saturated, very little happens in the way of action regarding what is being protested.

Powers that be will just wait it out until the next conflagration in the social media news cycle.
