I am all for helping a church but I truly doubt that all of these "homeless" people are just that.

I work at a FBO office in Kenner. There is a 48 year old man that works 40 hours per week as a lineman but is so much addicted to gambling and alcohol that he lives in a station wagon. He stinks and is drunk most of the time.

About a month ago, I saw him drawing a colored sign posterboard. The sign said "homeless , need Food ". What a crock of shite ! The man needs to get control over his addictions.

Next time you're at the red light at Siegen and I10, look between the 4' concrete walls that separate the lanes and notice the pile of trash they leave behind. Absolutely disgusting.

That area has had this issue for several decades

I've seen cops yell at them over their PA system to get off the median at the I-10W College Dr exit.

The cities in the frozen north like Chicago, New York and Washington DC give em all one way bus tickets down here in the winter.

Two weeks ago I got hit up four times in the Siegen area. What is it about that area? It must have a reputation for generosity there. So maybe all you drive-by philanthropists need to tighten up the damn purse strings so they'll GTFO.

I don't get why we just accept blight and a decaying city. Maybe Broome will save us..

I live in downtown Houston and it's really out of control. I'm not sure if it's even solvable at this point. I'm talking numbers that are probably in the 1000s.

Why do some of you bring politics into every topic. You act like beggars just started begging in the 21 century or something..

Downtown Houston at night always made me feel like I was in a zombie movie. Parts of downtown at night is completely empty other than the homeless

I wonder how many self righteous Christians pass them by daily. The ones on Siegen are more travelers than your downtown homeless. God bless em man, look like a crappy life. Inb4 get a job, boot strap up, etc. Preceded by how disgusting and worthless they are. Yea they should go interview with some like minded bros from TD

I give the ones that will work for food ketchup packets. That way when they get that food they are looking for they have the condiments.
