Edit, this is what IRS.gov said:

According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before mid-February for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.

Federal came in quick, in about a week.
State always takes longer.

Haven't done mine yet - hope I owe. Have to adjust things after the big shake up last year. Military screwed up 2 state returns, and this year will be slightly messed up, too.
But, good problems to have.

I filed Friday Feb 2nd and My status is still showing Received. I expect my Deposit soon. I'm also frustrated as i have a simple return with one w-2, single hoh, with two chirrens.
This is unsual.
