Anybody cut their own hair or have their wife cut their hair?

If so, what clippers/edgers do you use? Wahls the way to go?

Tired of spending 25+ dollars every other week and I'll be damned if I let them gap my head up at the base exchange even if it's cheaper.

I'm confident my wife can do a basic fade for me. Got two kids she can practice on!

Wahl. I haven't had a store bought haircut in 20 years.

I used get my mom to do it

If I'm going really short, I just do it myself.

My wife used to, until she forgot to put the guard back on the clippers after trimming the neck

Back around 2000 I was sitting at the Exchange waiting to get a haircut and realized that every single mfer in there cutting hair was speaking Spanish. I left, bought some clippers and have been shaving my own head since. I haven't paid for a haircut in over 15 years.

DO IT.

Get your hair cut shorter and go once every 3 weeks.

Dad has been shaving mine for years. The Wahl Pro has paid for itself several times over.

Been shaving my own since I was in college
I bought clippers for $20 from WalMart
Only had to buy new ones once so I guess I am saving money

Use 20 dollar target clippers, no guard.

I recently started cutting my husbands hair. Clippers, comb, and scissors. I trained on the dog.

it helps my wife is a stylist who used to work downtown and she also used to cut the hair of many country & pop stars (some of which still come to our house where she has a private salon)

A shorter cut lasts longer. Another good point is that my barber shop haircut is far less expensive than the one you get at a beauty shop, but is just as good.

A bad experience with my wife cutting my hair has me jumpy and skittish about it. Barber for me.

You must have some fast growing hair. Every other week? Damn.

I usually go 6 weeks between cuts.

Got an Oster. Fade it up the side, about a 7 on the top.
