Went I left last fall it was great. The new labs in my department were freaking awesome. Sad I never got to use them.

Part that's open is pretty sweet but I think the front atrium in phase 2 is gonna be an even nicer space.

Not finished yet but the parts are done now are bad arse, it will have a huge food court when done too which will be great for that part of campus that's expanding

Went back to judge Chem E presentations a couple of months ago.
Completely different in a good way.

I knew there's were plans to upgrade, but they are changing up the existing building? Thought it's be a new building. Haven't been back in a few years now.
ETA: nevermind, looked at a satellite pic. All happy for the upgrade to the school, but I don't even recognize where I spent 90% of my college career

If you are referring to that long lost dream of building a new chem e building, I doubt that will ever happen.
All I know is that Chevron put up millions to help renovate PFT. Now most of the engineering labs are there.

CEBA, like the old front nine, will always live on in our hearts and minds.
RIP CEBA

Ah, but the new ChenE building has been built. It is the annex to PTH that takes up what used to be the parking lot. The building is now 30% larger than it was before.

CEBA was the worst designed building there ever was. Getting to classes at the beginning of each semester was like hiking through a concrete labyrinth.

But but but LSUs funding was cut and they don't have any money
How can they have anything nice? Or even survive?

It was funded via private donations and matched 1:1 from the state capital outlay budget.

CEBA/PFT has been fully gutted and renovated. An expansion for ChemE was added onto the side of building that was the faculty lot.
