ID network will have you walking outside not trusting a damn person you see lol
And everyone knows someone or has someone in their family that they could plausibly see being on one of those shows.

The writer chick from New York coming back to write about her small town murder of people her sister knows reminds me of HBO'S sharp objects.

I have a fascination with the murder of Suzanne Degnan because the crime occurred in the neighborhood where I currently live.
She was a six-year old girl who was kidnapped from her bedroom window. A few weeks later, her dismembered body parts were discovered in various sewers throughout the neighborhood that were just a block or two away from her home.
It's technically not considered a cold case, because they eventually arrested a teenage burglar for Suzanne's murder and two others. However, he was convicted on flimsy circumstantial evidence, and it's widely believed Chicago PD pinned it on him because they were getting public pressure to solve the crime.
George Hodel, who has long been a suspect in the Black Dahlia murder, has also been accused of the Degnan murder by his son.

The cabin murders are a crazy one. Imagine a brutal horror story where the villains win, and that's basically that.

Mari Ann Fowler. May she rest in peace.

Anyone remember the Eleanor Parker case here in BR? Don’t think her body has ever been found.

Ya the cold case on the disappearance of Doug Heffernan is fascinating.

The Jeffrey Macdonald murders, where he allegedly killed his wife and kids on the Army base where they lived in the 70s.. it was the basis for the movie Fatal Vision, which scared the crap outta me as a kid.
Jodi Huisentruit, the cute blond tv news anchor in Iowa who disappeared one morning in 1995, they found the keys to her car on the ground next to the car.. still no trace of her body’s ever been found.
Not really a cold case but still very interesting, the story of Christine Chubbuck, the Sarasota FL tv anchor who shot and killed her self live on air in the 70s.. supposedly there’s video of it in a vault somewhere but it’s never been found.

The one with the British couples daughter disappearing from the Italian (I think) villa. Is one that bothers me. I watched that whole Netflix series and was so invested in it. I just wish I knew what happened.

Madeleine McCann...it was Portugal. That’s still a big mystery.

Saw a show on this one recently. That clingy, older friend of hers seems like the obvious suspect, but it's crazy that no one has been able to nail him or find any trace of her after all these years.

I wonder if they had gates then? I was just there last week and it’s impossible to get in there without a tag scanned by the guards.
Obviously you could get in by boat or by foot but it would be a helluva hike

hinterkaifeck (i hope i spelled it correctly)..... basically a family (and maid who started that morning) were slaughtered. The dad had noticed footprints coming from a forest to his house.... eventually a set of house keys went missing and he (or someone in the family) found a newspaper that didn't belong. The killer(s) even stayed a few days after the slaughter to tend to the farm animals.
