Among all of the negative is there negative happening to a particular person, organization or event that is providing guilty pleasure?

I can think of the plight of one local businessman which made me grin. Shame on me maybe but I do not care if every tshirt place and cheap chicken place in the city goes down. I do feel bad for their employees, however.

the EU falling apart before our eyes is pretty magical

and i'm a big "free trade" guy, but they made it completely bureaucratic and were complete assholes to the UK post-Brexit

Tough for me to root against any small businesses, especially if the owners have kids.

But I'm not too unhappy that Kevin Durant got it.

That's a solid one.

Also - Mexico closing their own borders is pretty fricking hilarious.

Meant "Not" too unhappy

I fricking hate Kevin Durant's insecure, fake twitter handle using, stick leg, super team chasing arse.

ETA:

Although I'll readily admit he's pretty special at roundball.

I thought he was talking about the guy who's fond of billboard advertising and his leaked email.

the EU actively tried to sabotage Brexit by creating unrealistic bargaining positions to try to invalidate the initial referendum

It's why Theresa May ended up resigning

quote:

Her loaded speech came a week after details of a supposedly disastrous dinner with the E.U.'s Brexit negotiators were leaked, alleging that Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, had testily informed the prime minister that the the European Union was not, in fact, a golf club. Speaking in a press conference yesterday, Michael Barnier, also at the dinner—he bonded personally with May over their mutual passion for "rambling and hiking in the mountains"—stressed that Brexit will be painful. "Those who pretend, or who did pretend that you can leave the European Union and there will be no consequences simply aren’t telling the truth," he said.

this all caused a ripple effect in the elections she called, decreasing Tory power. ultimately she had to resign because of it

eventually the UK got tired of it and it showed in the recent results when Labor was destroyed

There will be more support for "in-sourcing" manufacturing - especially for medical supplies. More skepticism of China (as there should be) from all over the world.

The EU having to ration supplies like this is pretty insane, although there's a chance we could be in that boat in about 8-10 days in some areas (NYC metro, major CA cities, Chicago, south Louisiana, etc.).

Everyone wants things to return to normal as quickly as possible.

I'm glad people are starting to grow more skeptical of China and that the EU is starting to look less unified.....but I absolutely hate the circumstances in which these things are exposed.
