Love my 23’. Great for what I need it to do. Rides smooth. Great interior. Ram boxes are where it’s at. You never know you needed them until you have them. Under floor storage.
Only issue I have is my apple carplay doesn’t always connect so I have to reset the radio and then it’ll work

I have 7 Ram trucks…all 2022 or newer
3- 1500
My Personal (Business) - 2024 2500
1- 3500
2- 5500
All the HDs 4WD, Cummins- the 5500s typically weigh 17,000-19,000 lbs.
We have been through all the brands- the Rams are best for us. No issues whatsoever.
I put 50-60,0000 miles a year on, pull goosenecks, big boats, trailers weekly. No joke- 21mpg average over the 68,000 miles on the one I’m driving now. Not tuned or deleted.

The OP didn't exactly give us what he's using it for, but are you insinuating that a 1500 does everything a 2500 does? Or that the average truck driver doesn't have a legit need for a 2500? Surely the latter.
I have a 21 RAM 2500 Cummins. Laramie package. I haul heavy a few times a month. Mini excavators, skid steers, loads of oil field pipe, and whatever else the job needs.
I don't know what the concern with the mirrors are. They have wide mirrors and more stock mirrors and mine are the latter. They flip up if you're hauling a wider load and down if you're just driving around town.
A buddy has the Power Wagon gasser and his truck drives way different than the diesel. The diesel isn't a drag racer, but the power difference between the gasser and diesel is insane. Love the engine break. I was indifferent on the large screen at first, but I really like it now. It has cooled and heated seats. Came with a gooseneck hitch and I added the bed liner. 95,000 miles on mine and no issues that weren't self inflicted. I don't really hammer it around town though. Only problem with the diesel is the grid heater bolt failure and I bit the bullet to remove that issue. A simple bolt shouldn't be able to cause an engine failure. And the only way around it is a $1,000 intake upgrade. But, I'd rather pay $1,000 than to risk dropping a corroded bolt into the engine.

I had a 2020 F250 and all previous F250's were ford diesel. I switched brands and now am in a 2022 Ram 2500 diesel.
IMO the Ram pulls better, rides better (has coil springs in the rear not leaf springs) and is quieter in the cab. Ford is faster if your into racing and has a bit better turning radius.
I am very happy with the ram which now has 80,000 miles. Also I average 19.5 mpg when not towing. Mine is a Laramie night edition regular crew cab.
Hope that helps.

I have a ‘23 with the Cummings.
Absolutely love the truck.
I have absolutely no need for a diesel or a 2500, but it’s the truck I wanted.
It’s a Laramie package, and has plenty enough bells and whistles for me.
(Previous truck is a 2005 GMC Sierra)
Have 2 boats and a jetski and it’s a
night and day difference in pulling power. Goes without saying going from gas to diesel, but to experience it was very eye opening.
Very spacious, lots of tech and creature comforts. The ventilated seats are a game changer after spending a day on the water.
I am extremely happy with this truck thus far.

cause I'm the one paying for it so I can buy any fricking thing I want. If you pay for it, you can have some say about it.

They ride really well for 3/4 ton trucks. They're the only ones that have a coil sprung rear end. Conversely, they do not handle being overloaded well at all. They're really the only truck that is appropriately sprung for 10k lbs GVWR.
I'm over 100k on mine with the only issue being a couple of ABS pumps, a well known issue for 2018 model year HD rams.
So far, it's been my favorite truck ever.
The diesel engines and transmissions both got complete overhauls for 2025 MY, so I would probably get a gas burner if I were to buy a 2025 model ram.

2020 Cummings owner since new here.
Currently at 110k miles and other than a couple of factory recalls, it’s never been in the shop. Knock on wood.
Been a great truck. Rides, drives, and tows awesome.
It did start giving some clues of potential emission issues around 65k miles, but those issues were addressed before they happened and will never be a concern in the truck again.
