If so, what’s your favorite topic in physics?

Why can't you trust atoms?

Because they make up everything.

I'm not by trade but I've had my own theory on inertia for years, but it doesn’t seem to be gaining momentum.

A proton walks into a bar and orders a drink.

Bartender: What’ll it be?

Proton: Just water, thanks.

Bartender: You sure?

Proton: I'm positive.

————————————————————————

Why did the dad proton want his daughter proton to marry an electron?

So the wedding would be free of charge…

————————————————————————

Physics teacher: "Did you know protons have mass?"

Student: "frick, no -- I didn't even know they were Catholic!"

Got my degree in physics - and now I work in a completely unrelated field.

That’s life I guess.

I always enjoyed reading/learning about the Astro side of things, but the nerd in me really liked the math of relativistic problems.

right now it is quantum mechanics - heard about it for decades but never a moment of involvement.

now I am at least familiar with the language and and trending toward the notion that 'life' is merely the perception of our intellect. in 'reality' there are nothing but various electromagnetic waves causing all the illusions that our intellect recognizes as 'life.'

or maybe it's something else

We purport to be a knowledge-based society. But we aren’t. We are finance-based.

Taking The Quantum Leap by Fred Wolf is a great intro to the theories behind quantum mechanics.

I have a strong science background and I'm a fan and consumer of popular physics. I have no favorite topic in physics but as an ME I make a living from classical physics and delve into modern/quantum physics for the fun of it.

Not a physicist but love learning about quantum entanglement, holographic universe theory, other dimensions, etc.

I have been studying quantum mechanics more, following Barton Zwiebach’s Quantum Physics I class at MIT.
