Go by Boo and HCs house and replace their little baby sized LSU flag with a proper display of LSU Pride.

Albright Grove? I think I might check that out this weekend after the kiddo naps.

the local government is a bunch of libtard nut jobs creating more BS red tape and another level of bullshite regulations and unaccountability that would shock anyone from Louisiana.

That's only gonna get worse. Lots of people transplanting there to escape their nonsense, just to bring their nonsense to Tennessee.

We have a Saints flag up right now, and tomorrow it is switching to the Astros.

So eat a bag of dicks.

Go to Last Days of Autumn Brewing and try the Pit Boss sandwich.

Pulled pork, pimento cheese, back jam, and creamy coleslaw

Thanks for all the responses! We’d be coming from North Bossier. The job would be at the airport, which is on the east side, but I have no issues driving a bit. Housing seems about on par with Bossier. We have family in Nashville too, which doesn’t look like a bad drive.

*Going to check out Farragut*

.

Airport is kinda south, with easy access froM the west side of town. Maryville is right there. Can easily come from Lenoir City or 140. Plenty of great living options for you.

Do you prefer more rural or McMansion living area?

If you're working at the main airport you'll be SW of downtown, basically in Maryville. West Knox or Farragut would be an easy commute for you, plus great schools and an easy drive into the city.

Hit us up when you move and we'll share some beers.

Absolutely! Let’s keep our fingers crossed. It’s good to know that there are folks up there with all the right teams (LSU, Astros, Saints!)

If you're into high school football then Maryville and Alcoa are the place to be.

Maryville

Alcoa and their $480,000 jumbotron

I went once back in February when I was in town for an interview and enjoyed the beer, plus had some BBQ nachos.

Went back with my wife last month, they were doing a shrimp boil and the entire place reeked of burned corn.

I'll add that to my Christmas list and send a picture once it's up.

We need to outshine the Clemson, Miami and Flordia fans we have as neighbors.

To the person who said get out of Farragut and you get good restaurants, I agree. There are some good spots there, but if you are willing to explore the city there seems to be a ton of great spots. I have an ongoing list of places to try.

If you are at the main airport and don't want to live as far out as Maryville, check out the Northshore area for sure.

Went to Highwire a few weeks ago. The space is huge, we went in the afternoon which was nice because they said it gets loud in the evenings. They are opening a rooftop deck too which will be great once it finally cools down.

Hi-Wire has a huge taproom... but there's no parking during the weekday. After hours there is an elementary school across the street that allows parking.

Schulz Brau is a fun place, very kid friendly, excellent German beers.

I'm a fan of Central Filling Station right by Schulz Brau... I'm sure they are going to get popping once the weather cools off.

Smoky Mountain Brewery (at least 4 locations) is also part of their group.
As is Corner 16, on Middlebrook across from the Food City. I think it is run by one of the daughters. I have heard good things about it.

My inlaws are in the Cedar Bluff area and we get up there every so often to visit.

When we were up 4th of July weekend, we went to the Calhoun's at Turkey Creek, and it was disappointing. Food wasn't as good as it used to be. Now the one on the river is still a favorite if for no other reason than the view. There is also a Ruth's Chris on the river as well.

There are a ton of BBQ places popping up all around the city. We still like Buddy's for a quick fix, but I want to get up there and try some of the new places.

For good burgers, Litton's in Fountain City is really good. I've also heard really good things about Sam & Andy's in Fountain City as well.

Someone already mentioned Chuy's. It is good, but it gets really packed, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. We tried to go there to get to-go after the Georgia State game and the parking lot was full.

The west side is growing. They are adding lanes to Pellissippi northbound to handle the traffic getting on at Dutchtown and getting off at Lovell.

I don't know the quality of the area, but if you want to be down closer to airport, I know there are some really nice looking areas along Topside and Louisville Road.
