have the same situation. My advice 1. Be steady and above the drama. 2. Make your home feel safe and stable. Children gravitate towards it 3. Be present in your daughter's life so that when the craziness comes out, she can see what mom is saying is not the truth without you even having to say a word in your own defense 4. DO NOT SAY ONE BAD WORD ABOUT YOUR CHILDS MOTHER TO YOUR DAUGHTER. Save it for private convos with either your current SO or a close friend/family member. 5. If your child tells you what their mother says about you simply ask, "is that how you feel because that is truly all that matters to me sweetie"... Make it safe for your child to address any problems she may have with you. Bottom Line: Let Crazy be crazy...In the end your child will see the truth whether it be during their childhood or into their adult years. Never give up and let your daughter know you love her unconditionally and don't care what the world says about you as long as she knows the "real" Dad.
Preach on brother!

Welp. You got me beat, you weird motherfricker.
Coparenting can suck if one parent is a spiteful a-hole. In your case being a dad, just take the highroad and say
"I'm sorry she feels that way about me. I do my best to take care of you and raise the best way I know how."
When your kid is in her 20/30s and facing herself or experiencing via a friend something similar, it'll be all worth it for you.

Not quite a haiku, but nice try.

it sucks trying to co-parent when your ex is filling her head full of spite....Its not daughters fault and i only have 5 yrs max until she goes away to college?
Yep. Welcome to my world. Just take the high road. Sooner or later the children figure out the truth. My 17 year old daughter barely talks to me unless she needs money. My 13 year old son I think has it figured out his mom is just being spiteful.
My daughter copped the attitude when I remarried. Again despite all the drama and lies you just got to take the high road.
Wait until your ex takes you back to court for no good reason. I guess paying 90% of everything on my kids is not enough even though we share joint custody. Hell hath no furry....

i think he was implying that he will be free to bring home prostitutes when his daughter goes away to school. smart parenting on his part. wouldn't want the poor girl to grow up with daddy issues.

Don't read too much into this, teenage boys are stupid.

Maybe you're just an a-hole.
