Just curious as to how the hospitals are doing.

I have heard Touro might be struggling, but I cannot confirm because I don't know anyone personally who works there.

my cousin has a doctors office next to jefferson hospital

he said his and all other offices around the hospital he is aware of are closed to public and all doctor visits are being done by phone only. any visits that require face to face are not being done at this time and you must seek emergency room care

he said the hospital is a mad house of fear and assumptions with little to know genuine facts to go by as far as staying safe other then self quarantine at home

I got downvoted to hell for posting this in the big thread for some reason, but my buddy that lives in NOLA said that his mom's good friend runs the ICU at a major New Orleans hospital, and is a medical director at another hospital, and he said that Saturday was the worst day of his professional career. Patients coming in one after another all needing to be on ventilators.

Next time put it in a Brietbart story and then the OT will believe it.

I thought they built this hospital with a ton of extra capacity? When it was opened I thought only like 65-75% was utilized.

As the Dixie Chicks would say, "there's your trouble." Quadruple hearsay.

Yeah I get it, not telling anyone to believe my friend's mom. I will say that my friend is about as trustworthy as they come, and I would be extremely surprised if he, or his mother, was spreading fake rumours around.

My first thought is "how can one person do both of these"? Maybe it's possible but I would think that it wouldn't be easy.

Not true..

Actually their pt census is lower than usual, just the ICU's are jammed up...

and they're not 70 beds...

that is a very good point, and it's something that I also wanna wondered. Maybe he's just on a board of directors at the other hospital along with many other people.
