The ones who have actually been in combat won’t talk about it. Most that speak freely about are full of shite..

My bodyguards prefer not to discuss this topic.

My roommate was in the LA National Guard and picked up his best friend's body in pieces over in Iraq. He had some crazy videos. One weekend a month, two weeks a year, my arse.

The lady threw a frying pan at me the other day. Heavy fire.

For real though, most combat vets typically don’t talk about that kind of stuff. I only know of one who talks about it, but after a while he gets a little emotional. It’s a tough subject.

True accuracy is when you can hit your target while under enemy fire.

I live in New Orleans and have heard lots of gunfire over the years.

Does that count?

I have a friend who's a retired Ranger sniper and some of the shite he's been through is unreal. He doesn't boast about it or anything but he's killed with his rifle numerous times and even in hand to hand combat. He sees a shrink regularly.

My Dad did refugee missions at the end of Vietnam. He's told me about them but he finally got around to reading a book about it. He was crew on these. I thought it was neat.

One: He said on this one a pilot was shouting to shoot them and they had guns drawn as soldiers ran to the plane first, but luckily for everyone involved they were South Vietnamese.

Not true. I talk about it when asked but I’m pretty heartless. There’s been times where I’ve taken sniper fire and had to put my face in goat shite, there’s been times where if I was the 2nd person in the door or 5 seconds early I wouldn’t be alive today, and there’s been times where haji did a piss poor job of making a pressure plate so it only resulted in some minor bleeding.
