When going for gainz, my sleep apnea was way worse from a thicker neck. I'd wake up and couldn't inhale or exhale for over 5 seconds.

I have a cure i think ur wife would appreciate and can be a big help.

Her pillow
Your face

She pushes down real hard, till the snoring and breathing stop.

Ur cured for good, and she gets a good night of sleep.

this is the answer for the dumbasses in this thread saying "lose weight".besides overweight people, athletes are also prone to sleep apnea from larger than average necks.

Uh, losing weight is a proven method for reducing the chances of snoring. But just like any health effect, there are many possible causes. However, for most people in this country of fatties, the easiest thing to address and the most likely culprit is excess weight.

An old roomie once swatted me with a straightened-out coat hanger, that stopped me snoring for a while.
The current wife will just hit me or kick me.

ear plugs, or stick a football under the back of your shirt to keep you from rolling over on your back.

ha, I know. Just saying. Former athlete and my neck is not fat, in the least. Hell when I was 20 it was 17.5" and I was at around 8% body fat. I could stand to lose 20 easily these days.

It is a very high end model, but I cannot handle it. I wake up subconsciously and rip the thing off. I will have dreams about smothering/drowning beforehand. My sinuses are so bad that I still get stopped up at night and basically don't breath for minutes at a time.

This is all related to the jaw relaxing backward when asleep and closing off airway. I am thin and never thought I would have apnea, but finally got a sleep apnea test. Failed bad. Couldn't do the CPAP but got an oral appliance and it has done wonders for me. They aren't cheap, but sleep is priceless.

What convinced me was waking up twice having a mild seizure from not breathing. I have sinus problems, so I always related the snoring to that, not apnea.

By sinus problems do you mean you are 150 lbs overweight? You fat son of a bitch.

If you aren't fat, Darwin. Right. You should be dead before passing your disgusting snore genes on.

Negative. 6' 180lbs and 32" waist.

But yeah, I got my allergies/sinus issues from a parent and passed them on to my kids. They have all had allergy shots though with good results.
