I was. Until I swapped phones and had to start over. Apparently, I never created an account when I first started using it (like half a decade ago).

Some people do map editing to get points, all my points came from road miles...

Indeed, but at times do you not find yourself without said charger? When in a friends vehicle and not your own?

I believe Socrates invented the car charger?

I have to keep my phone plugged in, Waze is a mega battery killer. Love it though.

Love Waze but man they need to give basic editing features to your markings.

Sometimes my tags are on the wrong side of the road or it waits a mile to go through due to shitty signal.

Never needed to use Waze. I always drive the speed limit.
I don't really speed either, that's the last reason I'd use it. Being diverted around wrecks, warnings of things, etc. is the main reason i use it.

Go easy on him. If everyone had the fastest route, it would be congested too.

actually it wouldn't. If every driver on the road used something similar to Waze it would not send everyone on the same route and traffic would probably improve.

Yep. But oddly enough there was an 18 wheeler that crashed as we were trying to get out of BR and there wad no mention of it.
This was on I10.

It's only as good as the people using it. You have to report things through the app, it doesn't magically know there's a wreck.

Did you report it?

Any of you high-milers tried to tether a (cheap) tablet to create a big-screen Waze experience? I can see the lack of an internal GPS as being one barrier. Thoughts?

I have a friend that has a very low mileage 04 year model vehicle that I have been trying to talk into installing a tablet into the dash for apps like Waze and engine management software. I do not think the GPS integration would be that big of a hurdle. An external GPS antenna on the dashboard would do the trick. This upgrade would include installing a Bluetooth system for wireless connection to a smartphone too so I bet the tablet could piggyback off of a connected smartphone as another option.

Why would a low mileage vehicle benefit from Waze and engine management software? Because it is a 2004 Dodge SRT-10 pickup with an 8.7L Viper engine in it making about 650rwhp. It is a damn beast that gets to a 150 real fast.

Not a Hemi
