Any of you guys ever sell life insurance or health insurance?

I got my insurance license, and I’m trying to make some supplementary income on the side.
So far I find it exceedingly difficult to sell these products. Very few people are even willing to even talk about it. Some get angry or just hang up on you. I’ve been buying some leads but most of them are no good so far.
Anybody have any advice on how to make some sales of these products?

The products you’re selling are akin to selling luxury items for a lot of people. Of course they’re hard to sell.

It’s a horribly saturated market and super easy to buy online without dealing with an agent.
I will never buy from an agent. Not worth the time.

Did someone convince you to get into that because it's great easy money?

Because giving them to him would just be throwing them away.

Go to your local nursing home. Lots of potential clients there if not already covered.

I do it. And I do well just on the U65 Health side (and medicare). When I do sell some life (which i suck at) that's when you get the really big checks.
I can put you to work for my Dago buddy in Slidell (doesn't matter where you live). He is the best sales leader in our company, Guy knows how to sell

No one trusts a person voting for Oliver. Maybe pick up a paper route.

A lot of it is a pyramid scheme. Have you taken the billing deferred 5000 dollar in company course that is repaid with your commissions, or just billed to you when trying to back out.

On the side is hard to commit to it
Better be all in

Should go to trade school to learn something that would actually benefit society

I tell folks that are getting into it to keep day job until they start making money doing this. Our phones ring all day and night. Matter of fact, a lot of our guys just take calls late afternoon and evenings. Weekends are decent as well. Work from home. Work from anywhere as long as I have a phone and laptop.

That earthquake insurance is something I’m keen to take a whack at.
