It is tough knowing it’s a “last” with a parent. First without dad. mom is very lonely. He brought a lot of good cheer and will not be quite the same. God bless you!

I'm spending my kids tween years trying to tell them that you don't learn to make money in college, you learn it from working for people that make money. Both of them want an MBA (whhyyyy?) to make cash. Spoiler alert, the richest MFers we know are State Farm agents.

I plan on wrapping my kids from my side piece and putting them under the tree. 1 for my wife, and 1 each for my 3 kids to have as playmates.

it really is - I didnt put any of our decorations or tree up - just been a very subdued holiday. it is really hard - and it has been for a while, but we know he only has a few months at most left. he is here, but the dementia has made him not here if that makes sense.
gonna make it as good day together and make the most of our limited time.

There is a reason liquor stores don't let anyone go on vacation during the holidays. All hands on deck to deal with everyone that can't put up with their inlaws without a 50% blood to alcohol ratio.

The people at the top of the street had a shouting match that went on for a good ten minutes in their front yard. Two small boys sat there and took it all in. Merry Christmas.
