If you came into the ER with that story I would CT your abd/pelvis. Can’t say you don’t have appendicitis.
When I went to the Dr. for bloodwork, my WBC came back elevated and they said I needed a CT to rule out appendicitis. I was feeling much better at this point (just a little tender on my lower right- thought it was a pulled muscle, but still no appetite on Day 3) and almost didn't get the CT done because I didn't want to pay for it. I ended up getting it done because it was a Friday and I knew we would be drinking and watching football over the weekend and I didn't want to wake up over the weekend in excruciating pain on top of being hung over, etc.
They called me within an hour of getting the CT done and said 'If you can be at the hospital in the next 30 minutes, we can take it out tonight' In the hospital at 3:00, in surgery at 7:00, out of surgery at 8:00. The doctor was very surprised I wasn't in more pain given the state of my appendix.

Mine ruptured within 6 hours of the first symptom (pain in lower right abdomen). Fortunately I was literally on the OR table when it burst, the pain just stopped which apparently was a REALLY bad thing according to the Doc.
Word to the wise, don't screw around with appendicitis.

Ruptured at age 43. Walked into ER hunched over with tears in my eyes. Staff dropped what they were doing and sprang into action, kind of scary. 4 hour surgery, 7 days in the hospital then at home for two weeks.
Catching it earlier is better
It's pretty amazing (not in a good way) how painful it can be.

I was in third grade. We had our end of the year swim party. On the way back to school I started cramping. I was convinced the don’t swim for 20 minutes after eating thing was real. I got in my moms van and pretty much passed out in the back seat. Thirty years later and I remember it like yesterday. I toughed it out and got my softball uniform on for my game. On the way there I threw up and was in crazy pain. We went straight to my dr and he sent us straight to the hospital. I was a scared arse little boy. I had heard stories from my grandad about his brother that died from it rupturing. Scary shite and I also caught chicken pox for the second time while in the hospital.

Go to doc if not better. Get CT scan. You don’t want that thing to burst. Real big problems if it does.

I had similar symptoms. Went to my GP. He sent me for a scan, before I got back to the house they called on my cell and asked me what hospital I preferred. The pain and the appendix was gone before the day was done. Get it checked out. You don't want it to rupture.

Your appendix can become inflamed buy not need surgery.
I had that problem for years in my 20s...went to the hospital a couple times for it but never needed surgery.
My son had his removed when he was 10...it hadnt ruptured yet and the surgery was just a scope...so it wasn't bad.
You definitely want to get it checked out.

So the nausea and fever have gone away but the weird tenderness remains. I went into urgent care and they did a few tests on my abdomen and said it likely wasn’t anything but IBS and cramps. Said to come back if it got any worse. $40 copay for a nothingburger apparently.

Good deal...you did the right thing.

I got really sick really fast one afternoon driving back to Atlanta from Savannah. Had immediate chills and then fever kicked in so bad I could hardly drive. Mapped the nearest hospital and went there. Some middle of nowhere country hospital that had 1 doctor. Sat there in pain for a few hrs and said f it and drive home. Had to wear sunglasses at night to drive bc my eyes so sensitive to light. Went to immediate care next morning in all kinds of pain with fever persisting. They suspected appendix and sent me to a specialist who immediately sent me to hospital for surgery. Pulled it out and sent me home next morning. I continued getting sicker over next 2-3 days. Ended up back in different hospital with an abscess/infection. Spent 10days in the hospital in bad shape. New Dr told me if I would have waited 1 more day to come in I would likely have died. Take your health seriously.
