Maybe total dollars of profit but that is not the most profitable site based on profit margin

Right. I meant in the country. Not sure about international. I know way too many people that work there being from St. James Parish and having went to school in St. John. I can even get all the good rumors from that place.

I know if there are bonuses going out they getting larger than any facility in the past. Usually by a large percentage. I know some of that is incentive to keep the union out. They definitely print Marathon a lot of money. Today just a blip based on the numbers I hear per day.

Who is left personnel wise at Shell Convent at this point? I know it is not just sitting there empty, but I do not think I know anyone that is still on the site at this point.

This from the Bloomberg article:

" Diesel futures surged to a seven-month high in New York after Marathon Petroleum Corp. said it was shutting the third largest US oil refinery following a blaze at a storage tank. "

A few Shell guys, us (a pipeline contractor), and Turner, who helped us install the pipe rack piping besides being Shells maintenance contractor. We are actually bringing a Hydrogen line into the plant for Air Products.

I asked about that in a thread on here a week or so ago and someone said it seems like that's going to get cancelled.

I think there is still some talk of some kind of integration work tied in with Shell Geismar, but it was just rumors.

That fire at IMTT spread more than it should have bc the EPA OSC wouldn’t let responders use foam. Once the fire started rolling down the ditches towards the butadiene spheres he turned them loose and they had it contained and largely ended in a couple of hours.

Thank the enviros for their war on PFAs for making these events a lot more dangerous than they need to be.
English please for those of us who don’t speak that shite.

Some chick named Barbara wrote that while sitting in New York, and totally misinterpreted what "shutdown of process units" means. By the way, Barbara and Bloomberg are the only "journalists" who butchered the meaning of shutting down a unit.. The actual press release from Marathon:

Marathon Petroleum said "the facility began a shutdown process of units closest to the fire this morning," adding that "facility operations will continue to be evaluated, with safety as our top priority."
